When should you use the Hypothesis Evaluator agent?
Use it when you've formulated a hypothesis but aren't sure if it's academically sound, or when you want to validate hypotheses from the Hypothesis Generator agent before using them in actual research.
What criteria are used to evaluate hypotheses?
The evaluation is based on four criteria:
- Originality — Analyzes how differentiated your hypothesis is from existing research
- Feasibility — Analyzes whether the hypothesis can actually be tested
- Clarity — Analyzes whether the hypothesis is clearly defined
- Significance — Analyzes how meaningful the hypothesis is in the relevant field
Scores and detailed feedback are provided for each criterion.
How to use the Hypothesis Evaluator agent
Step 1. Open the AI Chat, select the Agents tab, and launch the Hypothesis Evaluator agent.
Step 2. Enter the hypothesis you want evaluated. You can also directly use a hypothesis from the Hypothesis Generator agent.
Step 3. The agent analyzes the hypothesis across four criteria and provides scores and feedback for each.
Step 4. Refine your hypothesis based on the suggested improvements, then continue with the Literature Review agent.
How should you use the evaluation results?
Focus on improving the criteria where you scored lowest. The agent automatically detects weaknesses and suggests step-by-step improvements, so you can immediately see what needs to be revised.
