How to Use AI Edit
Select text in the paper editor, click AI Edit, and type a command to have the
AI revise your sentences. You can request academic tone, summarization,
expansion, proofreading, translation, and more. Credits are deducted based on
token cost used for the edit.
How do you use AI Edit?
Step 1. Drag to select the text you want to edit in the editor.
Step 2. Click the AI Edit button that appears.
Step 3. Type your editing request in natural language. For example: "Make it more academic," "Summarize concisely," or "Translate to English."
Step 4. Review the AI's revision and choose to apply or cancel.
What kinds of edits can you request?
You can freely request edits in natural language, including tone conversion, summarization, expansion, proofreading, and translation.
- Tone conversion — Convert informal language to academic expressions
- Summarization — Condense long paragraphs to key points
- Expansion — Expand short sentences with supporting arguments
- Proofreading — Fix grammar and spelling errors
- Translation — Convert to another language
You can make any request in natural language beyond the examples above.
How is AI Edit usage charged?
AI Edit is charged on a credit basis. Credits are deducted from your balance based on the LLM token cost used for the edit.
