About the Lab
Professor Eun-Ah No's research lab focuses on the institutional and systemic dimensions of traditional arts in contemporary society, with an emphasis on cultural policy, public funding mechanisms, and the sustainability of intangible cultural heritage. The lab investigates how public support structures influence the interplay between creation, preservation, and transmission of traditional arts, particularly through longitudinal and lifecycle-oriented policy frameworks. Comparative studies of traditional arts policies in Japan, Taiwan, the UK, and France inform the lab’s analysis of institutional models and policy innovation.

1본 연구는 전통예술을 창작 ․ 보존 ․ 전승이 상호 연결되는 문화예술 생태계로 보고, 한국 전통예술 정책과 공공 지원사업 구조가 이러한 관계를 어떻게 형성하고 있는지를 분석하는 데 목적을 둔다. 이를 위해 국가 문화정책과 법 ․ 제도적 기반을 검토하고, 2024–2025년 전통예술 분야 공공 지원사업의 사업 유형, 연령대, 지원 기간 구조를 분석하였다. 또한 일본, 대만, 영국, 프랑스의 전통예술 정책 사례를 비교하여 한국 정책 구조의 특징을 검토하였다. 분석 결과, 정책 인식 차원에서는 전통예술을 문화예술 생태계의 일부로 이해하려는 관점이 확대되고 있었으나, 실제 지원 구조에서는 이러한 관점이 충분히 제도화되지 못한 것으로 나타났다. 공공 지원사업에서는 ‘계승 ․ 창작’ 결합형 사업의 비중이 높게 나타났으나, 전승 기반의 축적과 창작 활동이 장기적 흐름 속에서 연계되는 정책 구조는 상대적으로 미흡하였다. 또한 지원 구조가 ‘전 연령대’ 중심의 통합형 사업과 단년도 공모 방식에 크게
