The lung and primary site were frequent sites of failure in patients treated with definitive surgery for SS. Adjuvant RT improved LRFS and PFS. Frequent mitotic figures (≥10 mitoses per 10 HPF) were the worst prognostic factor for these patients.
RTOG grade 3 late rectal and bladder morbidity developed in respectively 7.4% and 1.9% of the patients. The significant risk factors for late rectal and bladder morbidity were old age and biologically effective doses at the bladder reference point, respectively.
This study reports the pharmacokinetics and tissue distribution of a novel histone deacetylase and DNA methyltransferase inhibitor, psammaplin A (PsA), in mice. PsA concentrations were determined by a validated LC-MS/MS assay method (LLOQ 2 ng/mL).
