Professor Jae Min Park's research lab focuses on translational and mechanistic studies in metabolic and neurological health, with a strong emphasis on identifying biomarkers and therapeutic targets for cardiometabolic diseases and age-related cognitive decline. The lab investigates molecular mechanisms underlying prostate cancer progression through epigenetic regulators like USP44 and EZH2, while also exploring innovative non-pharmacological interventions such as virtual reality-based cognitive training to enhance brain and physical function in older adults. Additionally, the lab contributes to understanding the genetic architecture of metabolically distinct phenotypes, including metabolically unhealthy normal weight and healthy obesity, to improve early risk prediction for type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

In selected patients, LLP is associated with less morbidity and shorter LOS than OLP. Pancreatic fistula rates are similar for OLP and LLP. LLP is appropriate for selected patients with left-sided pancreatic pathology.

We demonstrated the potential of using wearable pressure sensors and machine learning models for FoG detection in PD patients. The TCNN model showed promising results and could be used in future studies to develop a real-time FoG detection system to improve PD patients' safety and quality of life. This study was conducted to observe egg and larvae morphological development of carp to obtain basic data for resource conservation and taxonomic research. Brood carp used in the research (total length 67.3-75.5 cm, average 71.0±3.45 cm) were bred in a circular rearing aquarium (600×300×100 cm) using a running water system from January to July, 2015.
