Professor Jee Hyun Lee's research lab specializes in the intersection of design education, virtual reality (VR), and cognitive processes in creative design. The lab investigates how immersive digital environments—particularly VR—enhance creativity, cognitive engagement, and collaborative idea generation in fashion and design education. Key research directions include the development of VR-based instructional models, the analysis of cognitive actions during design sketching, and the facilitation of integrated, interdisciplinary design studios. The lab emphasizes experiential and reflective learning through technology-mediated design processes.

This study focuses on identifying the cognitive impact of virtual reality (VR) sketching on the concept generation phase of the design process. For an empirical study to analyse the cognitive influence of VR sketching, we conducted a pilot study for empirical research based on the protocol analysis of designers’ cognitive activities in VR sketching and compared the results with those of traditional sketching. Spatial inspection was a key behavioural factor of VR sketching when considering its hi
This paper presents the instructional design and development process for a fashion design education programme promoting creativity in a VR (Virtual Reality) environment. We designed the instructional model prototype based on the R2D2 (Recursive, Reflective, Design and Development) instructional design model and the creative thinking process model. The VR environment supported the design sessions, including the collaborative exploration in concept generation. We developed a feasible instructional
These data suggest that Nox1 plays an important role in TLR2-mediated intracellular H2O2 generation, activation of matrix metalloprotease 2, and secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines, which in turn stimulate MASMC migration and vascular remodelling.
Tacrolimus-based immunosuppression in pediatric liver transplant recipients is known to be associated with EGID. Our goal was to determine the incidence, risk factors, and characteristics of EGID in our pediatric liver transplantation program. This study was a retrospective analysis of 38 pediatric liver transplant recipients. Rectal mucosal biopsy was performed to evaluate for gastrointestinal PTLD and eosinophilic colitis. There were 14 patients (37%) who were diagnosed with eosinophilic colit
This study explores how a virtual reality (VR) design tool can enhance designers' cognitive action and creativity in the design process. Ten fashion designers participated in cognitive protocol research and in-depth interviews. Regarding the idea generation process's cognitive action, we limited the experiment to the sketch phase early in the design process and selected a 2D digital design tool for comparison. Expert reviews were also conducted to evaluate the creativity of design outcomes. As a
The favorable markers for successful withdrawal of immunosuppression were 1) long-term (> 3 years) stable graft function, 2) no rejection for longer than 1 year after withdrawal of immunosuppression, 3) non-immune mediated liver diseases, and 4) pediatric patients.
In the iron-depleted state, specific H. pylori strains associated with IDA demonstrated an advantage in iron acquisition due to a higher expression of IROMPs. Our results can explain in part why some patients with H. pylori infection are more prone to develop clinical IDA under restricted iron conditions in the host.
Abstract The field of fashion design relies on the originality of fashion designers and information on design trends, and design education also focuses on the creative ideas of designers; in this field, design through co‐design is a very limited area. However, with the proliferation of participatory culture, the need to diversify fashion design education methods has also emerged. The purpose of this study is to present an educational framework and an instructional strategy for co‐design based on
Abstract The focus of this study was to clarify the integrated design process from an educational standpoint, and identify its influencing factors and the role of facilitator. Through a literature review, the integrated design process and the role of facilitator were framed, and through the case study, the whole process of integrated design and the facilitator's role were analysed from the preparation phase to the assessment phase. The integrated design studio was conducted for 16 weeks with thi
In the infants with severe abdominal distention, the incidence of AP mimicking HD was relatively high. Therefore, consideration of AP should be part of the differential diagnosis in infants with severe abdominal distention or findings that mimic HD. For differentiation of these disorders, a rectal suction biopsy is very useful.
Background/Aims: Newer P2Y12 inhibitors, such as prasugrel and ticagrelor, have greater antiplatelet efficacy but may increase the risk of bleeding. In this study, we compared the pharmacodynamic efficacy of prasugrel and ticagrelor in East Asian patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS). Methods: We selected 83 ACS patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention who were discharged with 90 mg ticagrelor twice daily (n = 24), 10 mg prasugrel daily (n = 39) or 5 mg prasugrel daily (n = 2
Increased plasma NGAL levels may be associated with the presence of anemia and renal scarring in children with febrile UTIs.
Kikuchi-Fujimoto disease is a rare and benign disease, characterized by regional cervical lymphadenopathy with fever of unknown origin, affecting mainly young women. This self-limiting disease of unknown etiology has rarely been reported in children, so it has been frequently confused with malignancies. We describe a case of a child who was initially mistaken for malignant lymphoma because of multiple lymph nodes with 18-fluorodeoxyglucose uptake on positron emission tomography and was finally d
This study focuses on the decisive role played by the digital design environment in the cognitive design process and design thinking. To analyse the cognitive role of digital design tools, we carried out a protocol analysis of conventional design sketching and a 3D sculpture tool. Cognitive evaluation was a differentiating factor when considering the contextual role of the 3D sculpture tool in subsequent evaluations, non-sequential evaluations for conversion, and passive approaches within the de
This purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of Golf YouTube Viewers' Viewing Motivation on Viewing Satisfaction and Continuance Behavioral Intention. To achieve this purpose subject was selected by Golf YouTube Viewers' in korea. Total 430 surveys were distributed and 397 samples were finally used using convenient sampling method. Using SPSS WIN Ver. 23.0, the frequency analysis, reliability analysis, and correlation analysis were conducted. With the use of AMOS WIN Ver.22.0, the confir
