Professor Jee Ye Kim's research lab focuses on clinical oncology and surgical oncology, with a particular emphasis on breast cancer and pancreatic surgery. The lab investigates metabolic factors such as insulin resistance in breast cancer patients, aiming to understand their impact on disease progression and treatment outcomes. Additionally, the lab explores imaging predictors for congenital anomalies like duodenal obstruction and develops predictive models for post-surgical complications, such as pancreatic leakage after pancreaticoduodenectomy. The research also examines the role of liver resection in metastatic breast cancer, highlighting its survival benefits in selected patients.

We investigated a prognostic impact of radiotherapy-induced lymphopenia (RIL) in breast cancer patients treated with breast-conservative surgery (BCS). We included 531 breast cancer patients who were treated with BCS and adjuvant radiotherapy. None of these received (neo)adjuvant chemotherapy.
