15We evaluated changes in incidence, relative survival (RS), and conditional survival (CS) of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC), focusing on oral tongue squamous cell carcinoma (OTSCC). Data of 74 680 HNSCC patients from 1976 to 2015 were obtained from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results database. Five anatomical sites and their subsites were analyzed. The novel LCP-based cochlear implant provides a good MRI compatibility beyond present-day cochlear implants. Thus, MR images can be obtained from the subjects even with the implanted LCP-based neural prosthetic systems providing useful diagnostic information. Furthermore, it will be also useful for functional MRI studies of the auditory perception mechanism after cochlear implantations as well as for positron emission tomography-MRI hybrid imaging.
In select patients, stereotactic body radiotherapy may be a feasible option for treating refractory nodal recurrence from nonanaplastic thyroid cancer. Further studies are necessary to define the role of stereotactic body radiotherapy in the management of thyroid cancer.
MR-linac-IMRT appears promising for spine SABR.
Isotype-specificity exists in HDAC inhibition-induced radiosensitization. Different HDAC isotypes are differentially involved in modulation of cellular radiosensitivity.
TSA and SK-7041 enhances radiosensitivity only when delivered before irradiation. Unless proven otherwise, it seems prudent to apply scheduling including preirradiation HDAC inhibition so that maximal radiosensitization is obtained.

To compare total en bloc spondylectomy (TES) with stereotactic ablative radiotherapy (SABR) for single spinal metastasis, we undertook a single center retrospective study.
