Professor Joon-Sung Park's research lab focuses on the intersection of artificial intelligence, human-computer interaction, and social systems, with an emphasis on creating believable, reflective, and inclusive computational agents. The lab explores generative agents that simulate human-like behavior in dynamic environments, designs scalable social simulation techniques for prototyping social computing systems, and investigates the ethical and experiential impacts of algorithmic speed and AI accessibility. A central theme is ensuring that emerging AI technologies are not only intelligent but also fair, reflective, and accessible to diverse populations, including people with disabilities.

This letter presents an improved approach for high performance operation of brushless dc (BLDC) motors with hall sensors. The hall sensors in BLDC motors are ideally placed 120 electrical degrees apart. However, hall sensor placement may be significantly incorrect, particularly in high-pole and small-sized motors.
