Professor JuHee Lee's research lab focuses on advancing health sciences through innovative educational methodologies and interventions targeting diverse populations. The lab explores critical thinking development in nursing education, with a strong emphasis on simulation-based learning and its impact on student competencies. Additionally, the lab investigates health promotion strategies for older adults, particularly through cognitive and physical activity interventions, and examines community-based health and tourism dynamics in rural settings. The integration of qualitative research, health behavior analysis, and translational approaches in dermatological conditions further defines the lab’s interdisciplinary scope.

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is a prevalent obesity-related disease that affects large populations throughout the world due to excessive calorie intake and an increasingly sedentary lifestyle. Fibroblast growth factor 21 (FGF21) has recently emerged as a promising therapeutic candidate for the treatment of obesity and diabetes. FGF21 is a starvation-induced pleiotropic hormone with various beneficial metabolic effects, and pharmacological treatment in rodents has been shown to impro
This research showed that new teaching and learning methods designed to improve critical thinking were generally effective at enhancing critical thinking dispositions.
The topical application of 0.2% HA gel seems to be an effective and safe therapy in patients with recurrent oral ulcers; the study supports the use of HA in BD with oral ulcers.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore experiences among undergraduate nursing students in a high-fidelity simulation education course for a semester. Method: The participants in this study were 10 nursing students in the senior classes and volunteers. Data collection was conducted using a focus group interview for 100 minutes, which was recorded on video tape. Transcribed data was analyzed through qualitative content analysis. Result: The results of this study were deduced as 4 codes
90K itself has antitumour activity in CRC cells via suppression of Wnt signalling with a novel mechanism of ISGylation-dependent ubiquitination of beta-catenin when it interacts with CD9/CD82, but is downregulated in advanced CRC tissues. The data suggest a strategy of strengthening this novel pathway with concomitant knockdown of galectins as a potential therapeutic approach to CRC progression.
Abstract The catalytic enantioselective electrophilic Mannich‐type reaction promoted by chiral bifunctional organocatalysts is described. The treatment of α‐cyano ketones with N ‐Boc‐aldimines under mild reaction conditions afforded the corresponding β‐amino‐α‐cyano ketones with excellent diastereoselectivities (up to syn/anti =100/0), and excellent enantioselectivities (up to 99% ee ).
We confirmed the abnormality of the epidermal barrier in atopic dermatitis, and the effects of wet-wrap were associated with the recovery of epidermal barrier. In atopic lesions, wet-wrap dressing induced clinical improvement by the release of lamellar body and the restoration of intercellular lipid lamellar structure.

Our algorithm could diagnose skin tumors with nearly the same accuracy as a dermatologist when the diagnosis was performed solely with photographs. However, as a result of limited data relevancy, the performance was inferior to that of actual medical examination. To achieve more accurate predictive diagnoses, clinical information should be integrated with imaging information.
Clinical improvement was not significantly different between the two systems; however, AFL was better at reducing scar hardness whereas NFL was superior for lightening color. These data suggest that a study assessing the feasibility of a combined approach for the revision of post-thyroidectomy scarring might be warranted.
