Sehun Jang

Professor Sehun Jang's research lab focuses on pediatric immunology and environmental health, with a strong emphasis on food allergies, atopic dermatitis, and the impact of environmental exposures on child health. The lab investigates the pathophysiology of allergic diseases, including the role of immune pathways such as NLRP3 inflammasome in allergic rhinitis, and explores clinical interventions like oral immunotherapy and baked food diets to induce tolerance in young children. A key focus is on understanding the systemic and long-term effects of allergic and inflammatory conditions, as well as the neurotoxic potential of low-level environmental pollutants like toluene on fetal and child development.
