15Lower extremity deep vein thrombosis is a serious medical condition that can result in death or major disability due to pulmonary embolism or post-thrombotic syndrome. Appropriate diagnosis and treatment are required to improve symptoms and salvage the affected limb. Careful clinical observation via periodic CT angiography is required in patients with SAM, checking for newly developing lesions. The natural history of SAM should be clarified in a larger patient population.
Postoperative routine duplex surveillance failed to prove superiority compared with selective duplex after physical examination for reducing arteriovenous fistula maturation failure. However, the wide 95% confidence interval for the effect of intervention precludes a firm conclusion that routine duplex surveillance was not beneficial.
These data indicate that high IPV of Tac is associated with early deterioration of chronic histologic lesions as well as poorer long-term outcomes. Large prospective studies of Tac IPV usage as a clinical monitoring tool are needed in the future.
Adventitial cystic disease (ACD) is a very rare condition characterized by the accumulation of a cyst filled with gelatinous substance in the adventitia of a vessel adjacent to the joint area. The cyst usually compresses the vessel lumen, causing claudication or leg swelling. The disease usually affects the popliteal artery. Coronary steal after ipsilateral AVF creation in patients with CABG using in situ internal thoracic artery (ITA) developed in 12%, which can be related to low LVEF. In patients with CABG requiring AVF for hemodialysis, the ipsilateral fistula to the grafted ITA should be carefully selected and performed.
Kidney transplant donors with TBMN and their recipients maintained their renal function through midterm follow-up without significant complications. Therefore, kidney transplantation from donors with TBMN could be a safe option.
The IPV of Tac had a significant impact on dnDSA development, occurrence of acute TCMR, and graft failure in pediatric patients who received renal transplantation. CYP3A5 expressors with high IPV of Tac showed worse outcomes, while the CYP3A5 polymorphism had no impact on IPV of Tac.
