텍스트 유형(text types)이 지닌 고유한 수사학적 구조와 특징이 학습자가 텍스트를 처리하는데 있어서 학습자의 인지, 기억, 학습 방법, 태도에 미치는 영향이 매우 큼에도 불구하고 어떤 텍스트 유형을 제공했을 때 더 효과적인 영어 학습이 이루어 질 수 있는가에 대한 연구는 매우 미흡하다. 이에 본 연구는 고등학생 148명을 대상으로 실험 수업을 실시해서 텍스트 유형에 따른 읽기 학습의 효과를 어휘 기억력과 학습자의 정의적 측면에서 조사하였다. SPSS WIN 12.0을 이용하여 통제집단과 실험집단을 비교분석 하였는데, 텍스트 유형에 따른 단·장기 어휘기억 회상량 비교는 독립표본검정(T검정)을 통해 그리고 텍스트 유형별 어휘 학습 결과는 이원배치 분산분석(2-Way ANOVA)을 통해 알아보았다. 조사 결과, 서사적 텍스트가 설명적 텍스트에 비해 단기 어휘 기억에는 별 영향을 미치지 못했으나 장기 기억 측면에서 더 좋은 학습효과를 가져왔음을 확인 하였다. 또한 학습자의 어휘 능숙

다문화 수용성이 중요한 사회적 담론으로 부상함에 따라 2015년 영어과 교육과정 개정에 다문화 이해가 성취기준으로 제시되었다. 영어 교재(교과서 포함)가 학습자의 다문화 이해에 영향을 미칠 수 있으므로 영어 교재가 다문화주의의 이념과 원리를 잘 반영하고 있는지를 살피는 일은 매우 중요하다. 본 연구는 영어 교재 평가와 관련한 기존 연구와 이미 소개된 체크리스트를 분석하고 종합한 후 우리 사회의 영어교육 환경에 적합한 다문화주의 기반 영어 교재 평가 체크리스트를 체계적이고 상세하게 제시하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 이 도구의 타당성과 효용성을 검증하기 위해 고교 영어교과서에 이 체크리스트를 적용하여 교과서의 다문화 요소를 분석하고 평가하였으며, 다문화 반영이 미흡하게 나타난 것으로 평가 결과를 보여주었다. 이 연구를 통해 학습자들이 언어적으로 뿐 아니라 ‘다문화적으로’ 성장할 수 있는 다문화 친화적인 영어교육 환경이 조속히 마련되기를 기대하고 있다.

본 연구는 여러 ‘위기청소년’ 가운데 이혼 가정 청소년을 대상으로 방과 후에 운영되었던 토론 기반 독서치료 수업을 ‘위기청소년’ 문제에 대응할 수 있는 효율적인 학교 내 치유 프로그램으로 제시하고자 하였다. 학교가 다른 공간에 비해 훨씬 안정된 환경을 제공해 줄 수 있을 뿐 아니라 ‘학교 연결성’이 잘 작동되면 위기청소년들이 교사와 또래 친구들과 의미 있는 관계를 형성하면서 위기를 극복할 수 있는 자원을 제공받을 수 있기 때문이었다. 또한 독서치료는 이혼으로 인해 발생된 새로운 현실에 대한 ‘바람직한’ 재개념 설정에 도움이 되며 라캉적 치유와도 그 맥을 함께 하고 있기 때문이었다. 교내 독서치료 프로그램에 참여하였던 고등학생 A의 치유 과정을 라캉 ‘분석가 담론’을 통해 설명함으로써 본 연구는 ‘교육이 치료가 되고 치료가 교육이 되는’ 학교 기반의 치유적 교육 프로그램이 어떻게 위기청소년 문제 해결을 위한 실효적 대책이 될 수 있는가를 보여주었다. 분석 결과 고등학생 A와 참여자 모
