Professor Beom-Soo Kim's research lab specializes in epidemiological and clinical studies focusing on metabolic and cardiovascular risk factors in the general population. Serum uric acid concentration was found to be independently correlated with hypertension, insulin resistance and the risk factors of metabolic syndrome.
