<b><i>Background:</i></b> We developed a risk score system to predict risks of developing dementia in individual Parkinson disease (PD) patients using baseline neuropsychological tests. <b><i>Methods:</i></b> A total of 216 nondemented PD patients underwent a baseline neuropsychological evaluation and were followed up for a mean of 2.7 (±1.1) years. Univariate Cox regression models controlled for age, gender, and education selected neuropsychological tests individually predicting dementia risk.

배경 및 목적: 원발진행실어증(primary progressive aphasia, PPA)의 발화 생성 시 나타나는 쉼(pause)은 PPA 아형 분류 및 조기 진단을 위한 간단하고도 신뢰로운 바이오마커가 될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 그림설명하기 과제를 통해 나타나는 PPA의 쉼의 특성을 살펴보고자 하였다. 방법: 연구 대상자는 의미형(semantic variant, 의미형) 9명, 발화부족형(logopenic variant, 발화부족형) 19명, 비유창형(nonfluent variant, 비유창형) 11명과 정상 대조군 21명을 포함하여 총 60명이었다. 대상자들이 산출한 발화는 전사 후, 음향학적 분석프로그램인 Praat을 사용하여 쉼 시간을 측정하였으며, 쉼 시간은 발화 간, 발화 내, 어절 간, 어절 내로 구분하였다. 결과: 비유창형은 의미형이나 발화부족형에 비해 발화 속도가 느리며, 발화 간 쉼 시간이 길었다. 한편, 발화부족형은 의미형에 비해 발화 내에서 위치한어절 간 쉼
