Professor Chungwon Lee's research lab specializes in transportation systems engineering and biomechanics, with a focus on sustainable urban mobility, intelligent transportation systems, and the mechanical behavior of biological tissues. The lab investigates electric vehicle infrastructure planning, traffic signal control and assignment optimization, shared micromobility adoption, and the development of low-impact geotechnical construction methods. Additionally, it conducts experimental and computational studies on arterial tissue mechanics to support medical and biomedical engineering applications. The lab integrates data-driven modeling, simulation, and real-world experimentation to address urban sustainability and safety challenges.
