About the Lab

Professor Da-Ham Kim's research lab specializes in translational molecular oncology and endocrinology, focusing on the identification of molecular biomarkers and therapeutic targets in thyroid cancer and pituitary disorders. The lab investigates genetic and epigenetic alterations—such as TERT promoter and BRAF V600E mutations—in aggressive papillary thyroid cancer to improve diagnosis and prognosis. It also explores non-coding RNAs, including lncRNAs, for their potential in molecular diagnostics, and evaluates novel hormonal therapies, such as long-acting FSH and cabergoline response predictors, in endocrine-related cancers and hypogonadism. Additionally, the lab examines the off-target effects of emerging immunotherapies, such as NK cell therapy, on endocrine function.
