About the Lab
Professor Do-Young Kwon's research lab focuses on neurological disorders, particularly Parkinson's disease (PD), with an emphasis on epidemiological trends, neuroimaging biomarkers, and pathophysiological mechanisms. The lab investigates the clinical and molecular underpinnings of PD, including transcranial sonography findings, facial mimicry impairments, and the role of oxidative stress and hepatic metabolism in neurodegeneration. Their work integrates population-based data, preclinical models, and translational approaches to improve diagnosis, understanding, and quality of life in PD and related movement disorders.
