About the Lab

Professor Dyjung's research lab focuses on aging-related health promotion, with a primary emphasis on fall prevention, fear of falling, and successful aging among community-dwelling older adults. The lab investigates psychosocial and physical factors influencing older adults’ mobility, quality of life, and independence, while also exploring innovative interventions such as exercise programs, hip protectors, and emerging technologies like the metaverse in nursing education. A key strength lies in evidence-based guideline development and the evaluation of effective, scalable interventions in long-term care and community settings.

Results indicate that interventions are effective in reducing the fear of falling or increasing fall efficacy. The MWES is .249, .024, and .418 for the combined intervention, exercise intervention only, and hi
