About the Lab
Professor Eun-hee Ha's research lab focuses on environmental health and epidemiology, with a strong emphasis on the impacts of environmental exposures—such as air pollution (PM₂.₅), perfluorochemicals (PFCs), and vitamin D status—on maternal and child health outcomes. The lab investigates critical periods of susceptibility during pregnancy and early life, exploring how these exposures influence fetal development, birth outcomes, and long-term metabolic health. 연구배경: 본 연구는 고지혈증과 비만의 관계를 알아보고자 비만 지표 중 체질량지수(BMI)와 체지방량(%)을 사 용한 결과를 비교하여 한국인에게 적합한 비만 지표를 제시하고자 하였다. 방법: 2005년 6월부터 12월까지 서울지역 E종합병원에서 건강검진을 수진한 40세 이상의 남녀 중 연구에 동의 한 1121명(남자 420명, 여자 701명)을 연구 대상자로 하였다. 결과: 체질량지수를 비만기준으로 한 경우 총 콜레스테롤, LDL-콜레스테롤은 비만을 동반한 군보다 비만을 동 반하지 않은 군에서 유의적으로 높게 나타났다. 체지방량(%)을 비만기준으로 한 경우, 비만을 동반한 고지혈증군에 서 복부비만과 상체비만이 주로 나타났으며 체질량지수를 기준으로 한 비만 고지혈증군에 비해 2배 가까이 높게 분류되었다. 총콜레스테롤과 LDL-콜레스테롤은 고지혈증군 간에는 차이를 보이지 않았으나 동맥경화지수(AI), HDL-콜레스테롤에 대한 총콜레스테롤의 비율은 비만을 동반하지 않은 고지혈증군에 비해
