Professor Eun-Keun Oh's research lab focuses on plant innate immunity and signal transduction, with a particular emphasis on leucine-rich repeat receptor-like proteins (LRR-RLPs) and their roles in developmental and defense responses. The lab investigates how these membrane receptors perceive extracellular signals and transmit them intracellularly through interactions with co-receptors like BAK1 and adaptors such as SOBIR1. A central theme is understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying receptor complex formation and downstream signaling in plants, especially in the context of pathogen resistance and growth regulation. The lab integrates molecular biology, genetics, and cell biology to dissect the functions of these key immune receptors in model and crop species.
