About the Lab

Professor Ghang LEE's research lab specializes in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and digital transformation within the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry. The lab focuses on critical success factors for BIM adoption, BIM software and service selection, and the optimization of design coordination processes in mixed 2D/BIM environments. It also conducts advanced research on IFC-based data modeling, including schema-free model extraction and high-performance IFC database systems using object-relational databases.

Suggestions abound for successful adoption of building information modeling (BIM); however, a company with limited resources cannot adopt them all. The factors that have top management priority for successful accomplishment of a task are termed critical success factors (CSFs). This paper aims to derive the CSFs for four questions commonly asked by companies in the first wave of BIM adoption: (1) What are the CSFs for adopting BIM in a company? (2) What are the CSFs for selecting projects to depl

Within the context of the multidestinations and multiactivities, the present study focused on the comparison between the push and pull motives in terms of the influences on destination choice and vacation activity of German pleasure travelers to the US, Canada, and Asia. Employing a multinomial logistic regression and OLS regression techniques, this study assessed the effect of each motivational factor on destination choice and vacation activity participation. The effect of other independent var
