About the Lab

Professor Gi Beom Kim's research lab focuses on pediatric cardiovascular diseases, with a primary emphasis on Kawasaki disease (KD) epidemiology, clinical management, and long-term outcomes in children. The lab investigates the rising incidence of KD in East Asia, particularly in South Korea, and explores risk factors, treatment patterns, and coronary complications to improve early diagnosis and intervention. Additionally, the lab is involved in interventional cardiology research, including the development and evaluation of transcatheter pulmonary valve implantation for congenital heart disease.
