About the Lab

Professor Hyun Kyu Lee's research lab focuses on molecular mechanisms underlying disease progression, particularly in cancer and fibrotic disorders. The lab investigates key signaling pathways involved in radioresistance, osteoclastogenesis, and fibrosis, with an emphasis on identifying novel therapeutic targets such as ERp57, DKK-1, and HDAC. Current research spans in vitro models using primary cells and cell lines, as well as in vivo disease models, including liver fibrosis and renal ischemia. The lab integrates molecular biology, cell signaling, and translational approaches to develop targeted therapies for cancer and chronic organ fibrosis.
