About the Lab

Professor Hyunji Jo's research lab focuses on translational and molecular oncology, with a strong emphasis on identifying and validating novel biomarkers—particularly HER2 aberrations—in advanced cancers such as biliary tract cancer. The lab also investigates molecular mechanisms underlying drug resistance in cancer therapies, especially in HER2-positive breast cancer, with a focus on heat shock proteins like HSP27. Additionally, the lab explores novel anticancer agents targeting topoisomerase IIα and contributes to antimicrobial resistance research, including carbapenemase-producing Enterobacteriaceae.
