About the Lab
Professor Insuk Seol's research lab specializes in pediatric respiratory medicine, with a focus on airway inflammation, asthma phenotyping, and critical respiratory conditions in children. The lab investigates biomarkers such as high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) and fractional exhaled nitric oxide (FeNO) to better understand and monitor airway inflammation. It also explores the epidemiology and clinical characteristics of pediatric respiratory diseases, including home mechanical ventilation use, croup, and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), using national health insurance claims and clinical data.
