About the Lab

Professor Jae-Joon Park's research lab focuses on chronic inflammatory diseases, particularly inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) such as Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, with an emphasis on disease management during pregnancy and long-term outcomes. The lab also investigates gastrointestinal neoplasia, including the risk of metachronous neoplasia in patients with advanced adenomas. In parallel, the lab explores millimeter-wave wireless communication systems, especially channel modeling and propagation characteristics in vehicular and urban environments at 28 and 38 GHz, supporting the development of 5G networks. The integration of clinical gastroenterology and advanced wireless communication research reflects a multidisciplinary approach to improving both health outcomes and next-generation communication technologies.
