About the Lab

Professor Jahye Ahn's research lab focuses on understanding the neurodevelopmental outcomes and brain network alterations in preterm and high-risk infants, with a particular emphasis on structural brain connectivity, neurodevelopmental disorders, and early prediction of neonatal complications. The lab integrates advanced neuroimaging techniques, such as diffusion MRI and graph theory, with machine learning models to investigate brain network topologies and predict clinical outcomes in very low birth weight infants. Repetitive LPS stimulation during development significantly inhibited brain cell development by impairing oligodendrocyte differentiation.
