About the Lab
Professor Jee Hyun An's research lab specializes in interdisciplinary studies spanning biomedical engineering, environmental hydrology, plant molecular biology, and science education. The lab investigates renal disease mechanisms in diabetic populations, develops hydrologic simulation models for agricultural water management, explores auxin signaling regulation in *Arabidopsis*, and examines sociocultural dimensions in literary texts. Additionally, the lab contributes to science education by analyzing inquiry-based learning in science curricula and advancing functional metal-organic frameworks for electrochemical applications.

15It has been recently reported that a considerable portion of diabetic patients with renal insufficiency show normoalbuminuria. As little is known about normoalbuminuric renal insufficiency in the Asian population, we examined its prevalence and clinical characteristics in Korean type 2 diabetic patients. The objectives of this study were to develop a hydrologic simulation model to estimate surface drainage for irrigation districtsconsisting of paddy and protected cultivation, and to evaluate the applicability of the developed model. Herein we report a redox-active metal-organic framework (MOF) via post-synthetic cation exchange with tris(2,2′-biprydine) ruthenium(II) complex (Ru(bpy)32+). A porous anionic zinc-adeninate framework (bMOF-100) is spacious enough to easily entrap 2.43 of Ru(bpy)32+ cations within the mesopore. The encapsulation supported the framework structure preventing any distortion from a rapid solvent evaporation under SEM observation. Background: We examined the prevalence and clinical characteristics of aspirin resistance in the Korean patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.Methods: We studied 181 Korean patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus who were taking aspirin (100 mg/day for ≥ 3 months) and no other antiplatelet agents. 이 연구에서는 2015 개정 교육과정에 따른 과학탐구실험 교과서의 탐구 활동에서 나타난 참탐구 요소를 분석하였다. 탐 구 활동을 핵심 개념에 따라 분류한 후, 학생이 자율적으로 참탐구 요소를 계획하거나 실행하도록 한 사례의 특징을 조사하였다. 연 구 결과, 참탐구 요소 중 다른 자료 조사하기 요소는 모든 단원에서 높은 비율로 나타났다. 그러나 연구 질문 만들기, 변수 선택 하기, 다양한 변수 측정하기, 측정값 변환하기 요소는 미리 안내되거나 구조화된 경우가 많아 역사 및 생활 속의 과학 탐구 단원의 일부 탐구 주제에서만 주로 나타났다. 간단한 또는 복잡한 변인 통제하기, 방해 변수 측정하기, 과정상 결함 고려하기 요소는 교 과서에서 고려하지 않거나 명시적으로 언급하지 않은 경우가 많아 모든 단원에서 낮은 비율로 나타났다. 생활 속의 과학 탐구 단 원의 참탐구 요소는 소집단 활동을 통하여 다루어지는 경향이 있었다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 과학탐구실험 교과서 탐구 활동의 개선 방안을 논의
The aim of this study was to investigate chemical characteristic of livestock compost in association with livestock manure types(poultry, cattle, swine, and mixed manure). The livestock compost was collected from local nonghyup branches on a si-gun level. Chemical composition (nutrients, heavy metals etc.) of the samples was analyzed and Pearson's correlation analysis was performed. 이 연구에서는 2009 개정 과학교육과정에 따른 초등학교와 중학교 과학 교과서의 화학 영역 및 화학 I, II 교과서의 읽 기자료를 분석하였다. 읽기자료는 주제, 목적, 제시 형식, 학생 활동 유형 측면에서 분석하였다. 읽기자료에 사용된 시각자료도 유형, 역할, 캡션과 인덱스, 텍스트와의 근접성 등의 측면에서 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 초등학교 과학 교과서가 중학교 과학과 화 학 I, II 교과서보다 읽기자료 비율이 높았다. 초등학교 과학 교과서에는 실생활 응용 유형의 읽기자료가 많았으나, 중학교 과학 과 화학 I, II 교과서에는 과학 지식 유형이 상대적으로 많았다. 초등학교 과학 교과서에는 개념 심화 유형의 읽기자료가 상대적 으로 많았고 중학교 과학과 화학 I, II 교과서에는 개념 보충 유형의 읽기자료가 상대적으로 많았다. 읽기자료에 사용된 시각자 료는 대부분 사진이나 삽화였고, 본문 보조나 본문 부연 역할의 시각자료가 많았고, 캡션이나 인덱스를 사용하지 않은 시각자료 가 많았으
