About the Lab
Professor Ji-Hee Lee's research lab specializes in molecular oncology and biomedical engineering, with a focus on understanding the role of key regulatory proteins like KITENIN and splicing factors such as ESRP1 in cancer progression and metastasis. The lab also develops advanced implantable ultrasound technologies, including miniaturized 3D ultrasound systems and application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs) for high-resolution, low-power medical imaging. Their interdisciplinary work bridges molecular biology, cancer immunotherapy, and microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) for next-generation diagnostic and therapeutic tools. The lab integrates molecular genetics with cutting-edge bioengineering to address challenges in cancer metastasis and medical device miniaturization.
