About the Lab

Professor Ji-young Lee's research lab focuses on antimicrobial resistance, particularly the molecular mechanisms underlying colistin resistance in Gram-negative pathogens such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Acinetobacter baumannii. The lab investigates genetic and genomic determinants of resistance, including lipid A modifications and regulatory systems like PhoPQ, and examines the stability and reversibility of resistance traits. Additionally, the lab explores the psychological and social dimensions of misinformation, especially AI-generated deepfake news, and their impact on public perception and risk cognition.
