About the Lab
Professor Jihye Kim's research lab specializes in the molecular mechanisms of natural products, particularly ginseng and its bioactive compounds, with a focus on their anti-inflammatory, anticancer, and neuroprotective effects. The lab investigates the pharmacological properties of ginsenosides and ginseng-derived exosome-like nanoparticles (GrDENs), exploring their roles in skin protection, immune modulation, and disease prevention. Recent work also delves into the epigenetic regulation of inflammation and cancer through protein arginine methyltransferases (PRMTs) and microRNA interactions.
