Professor Jin-Tae Kim's research lab focuses on host-microbe interactions, particularly the pathogenic mechanisms of oral and systemic bacteria such as *Streptococcus gordonii*, *Enterococcus faecalis*, and *Staphylococcus aureus*. The lab investigates microbial virulence factors, including cell wall components and surface molecules, and their roles in immune evasion, biofilm formation, and chronic inflammation.
