About the Lab
Professor Jiye Baek's research lab focuses on understanding and enhancing information diversity, social engagement, and educational equity in digital environments. The lab investigates how social media platforms like Twitter influence political discourse and information exposure, particularly through the lens of echo chambers and content sharing. It also explores the role of forum dynamics and artificial intelligence in fostering participation and improving learning outcomes in massive open online courses (MOOCs). A central theme is leveraging technology to promote inclusive, responsive, and effective communication and knowledge sharing.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing education, particularly with advancements in generative AI conversational agents.
