Professor Jong Ho Cheun's research lab focuses on understanding the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying breast cancer progression, particularly in aggressive subtypes such as triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). The lab integrates spatial transcriptomics, epitranscriptomics, and patient-derived models to dissect tumor microenvironment interactions, metastatic niche formation, and treatment responses. Key research directions include the role of immune cell crosstalk in premetastatic niche development, the impact of molecular subtypes on recurrence patterns, and optimizing surveillance strategies using modern imaging.
