신차 개발 시 프론트 로딩 단계에서 산포요인의 예측 및 제어를 통해 형상뿐만 아니라 승차감 및 핸들링까지 고려하여 성능 통합적인 차량 개발 프로세스를 구축하기 위한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 또한 이 과정에서 확률 통계적 기법을 적용시켜 불확실성 하에서의 시험 결과와 예측 값 간의 오차를 줄이고자 하는 필요성이 증가되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 상용차의 캡 서스펜션과 부시 시스템의 다중반응 문제에 대하여 제어인자와 잡음인자의 불확실성을 고려한 신뢰성기반 최적화 설계를 수행하였다. 실험계획법을 기반으로 주성분분석 기법을 적용함으로써 강건최적설계 값을 도출하였으며, 다중반응 성능지수에 영향이 큰 주요 설계인자를 추려내어 해석비용을 크게 절약하였다. 또한, 결정론적 접근법의 결과값을 기준으로 하여 사용자가 원하는 신뢰도를 만족할 수 있도록 신뢰성기반설계를 수행하였다.
