About the Lab
Professor Jung-in Kim's research lab specializes in medical physics and radiation oncology, focusing on advanced radiotherapy techniques and imaging technologies. The lab investigates image-guided radiation therapy, including volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT), MRI-based treatment planning, and patient-specific quality assurance using advanced imaging and 3D printing for bolus fabrication. Research also extends to novel radiation delivery systems, such as carbon ion therapy and the optimization of treatment delivery for stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT). 15Lipopolysaccharide, the endotoxin of Gram-negative bacteria, induces extensive immune responses that can lead to fatal septic shock syndrome.
