About the Lab
Professor Kang Jung Won's research lab specializes in regenerative medicine and translational biomedicine, with a focus on mesenchymal stem cells—particularly adipose tissue-derived MSCs—for immunomodulation and tissue regeneration. The lab also investigates natural compounds and plant-derived molecules for their anti-adipogenic and anti-platelet effects, aiming to develop novel therapeutic agents for metabolic and cardiovascular diseases. In parallel, the lab explores robotics and intelligent systems, especially omni-directional mobile robots for industrial and assistive applications, emphasizing mobility, safety, and real-world usability in complex environments.
