Professor Keun-Hwa Jung's research lab focuses on cerebrovascular diseases, particularly ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, with an emphasis on understanding the pathophysiological mechanisms and identifying novel neuroprotective strategies. The lab investigates the roles of endogenous protective molecules such as nitric oxide derived from nitrite, statins, and endothelial microparticles in modulating stroke outcomes. It also explores the impact of seizures on neural plasticity and cell proliferation, aiming to clarify the balance between pathological and reparative processes in epileptogenesis. We have studied photoluminescence (PL) from porous Si anodized laterally along the length of the Si wafer. Broad PL peaks were observed with peak intensities at ∼640 to 720 nm.
