About the Lab

Professor Kihoon Kim's research lab focuses on neuroimmunology and regenerative medicine, with a strong emphasis on autoimmune disorders of the central nervous system, particularly myelin-oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody-associated disease (MOGAD). The lab investigates diagnostic criteria, disease mechanisms, and biomarkers for neuroinflammatory conditions, while also exploring the therapeutic potential of extracellular vesicles and stem cell-derived nanoparticles in neurodegenerative and joint diseases. Their work bridges clinical neurology with translational regenerative therapies, particularly in myasthenia gravis and osteoarthritis.
