About the Lab

Professor Kihwan Kwon's research lab focuses on cardiovascular disease mechanisms and innovative interventional therapies, with a strong emphasis on imaging-based risk stratification, percutaneous repair of complex vascular lesions such as mycotic aneurysms, and the development of novel therapeutic strategies for cardiotoxicity and atherosclerosis. The lab integrates molecular imaging, mechanobiology, and advanced delivery systems—particularly shock wave-based technologies—for targeted therapy.
