본 연구에서는 한국어 초급 교재에 나타난 불규칙 용언의 활용 기술 방식을 살펴보고, 국립국어원에서 구축한 말뭉치를 바탕으로 한국어 초급 학습자의 용언 불규칙 오류 양상을 용언의 불규칙별, 어휘별로 나누고 그 원인을 고찰하였다. 대부분의 대학 기관 교재에서 불규칙 용언 활용은 주제를 중심으로 관련 어휘를 제시하는 방식으로 이루어지는데 이는 초급 학습자의 불규칙 용언 사용 빈도 및 그에 대한 오류와 차이가 나타났다. 교재 구성 시 한국어 학습에 도움이 되는 문법 항목과 어휘를 제시함과 동시에 학습자의 사용 요구와 습득의 어려움도 함께 고려하여야 할 것이다. 급별로 살펴본 불규칙별 오류 양상에서 특히 ㅂ 불규칙과 ㄹ 탈락의 오류 유형이 가장 다양하게 나타났다. 또한 여타의 불규칙 오류가 1급에 비해 2급에서 감소하거나 비슷하게 나타난 것과 달리 르 불규칙과 ㄹ 탈락의 경우 1급에 비해 2급에서 증가하였다. 이는 높은 사용 빈도에도 불구하고 한국어 학습자는 이 규칙을 복잡하게 여길 뿐만 아
