15Purpose: To analyze the effects of soft contact lenses on central corneal thickness and morphologic characteristics of the corneal endothelium in diabetic patients. Purpose: To compare corneal sensitivity and recovery of corneal innervations after a temporal clear corneal incision in cataract surgery. Methods: We measured changes to corneal sensitivity using Cochet-Bonnet esthesiometer in 25 eyes of 20 patients and analyzed corneal nerve density with confocal microscopy in 20 eyes of 20 patients who had undergone cataract surgery. 목적 : 익상편 수술에 있어 결막소판술(conjunctival mini-flap technique)과 자가결막이식술의 재발률을 비교하고, 재발에 관여하는 인자를 알아보고자 하였다. 대상과 방법 : 2001년 3월부터 2004년 2월까지 본원에서 익상편으로 결막소판술을 시행받은 환자 49명 49안과 자가결막이식술을 받은 환자 41명 41안을 대상으로 재발률과 재발에 관여하는 인자를 후향적으로 조사하였다. 결과 : 결막소판술로 수술받은 환자들의 경우 평균 8.79±3.9개월의 추적관찰기간동안 3명 3안(7.1%)에서 재발을 보였고, 자가결막이식술을 받은 환자들의 경우 평균 12.7±6.5개월의 추적관찰기간동안 9명 9안(21.9%)에서 재발을 하였다. 각 수술방법에 있어 연령이나 성별, 재수술여부와 재발과는 유의한 연관성이 없었다. 결론 : 익상편수술에 있어 결막소판술이 자가결막이식술보다도 낮은 재발률을 보이면서 심각한 합병증을 유발하지 않는 효과적이고 안전한 수술방법임을 확인할 수 있
