3The aim of this paper is to explicate the nature of bilingual specific language impairment (SLI) addressing the need to identify it. In the States, where this study was mainly conducted, as well as many other parts of the world, children get to acquire the second language. Reading a story is getting involved in the dialogue with the story. What experiences do the readers share with the people, events and thoughts in the story and the author? To answer these questions, we analyze the story, Make Way for Ducklings by McCloskey (1941). Using the concepts of Frame, Involvement, and Evaluation, our analysis shows that the dialogue is multi- layered, both story and dialogue with the story are organic, and getting engaged in the dialogue is crucial to grasp the coherence
