Professor Mi A Jang's research lab focuses on cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying neurological function, muscle cell metabolism, and clinical microbiology, with a strong emphasis on translational applications. The lab investigates neuron-glia interactions in synaptic plasticity and auditory processing, explores serum-free cell culture systems for regenerative medicine and lab-grown meat, and applies multi-gene sequencing to improve species identification and clinical interpretation of nontuberculous mycobacteria.
