About the Lab
Professor Min Chul Kim's research lab specializes in advanced materials and biomedical technologies, with a strong focus on developing novel nanomaterials for energy storage and catalytic applications, as well as designing innovative vaccines and therapeutic strategies for infectious diseases and cancer. The lab integrates materials science, virology, and translational medicine, exemplified by work on virus-like particle vaccines, vanadium-doped cathode materials for high-performance batteries, and nanodiamond-gold composites for oxidative catalysis. Current research also extends into clinical applications, including extracorporeal membrane oxygenation strategies for cardiac support and natural compounds like quercetin for cancer therapy.
