About the Lab
Professor Moon Choi's research lab focuses on the intersection of artificial intelligence, aging, and social inclusion, with a strong emphasis on ethical technology design and equitable access for older adults and marginalized populations. The lab investigates how AI and smart home technologies can be developed and adopted to support independent living, while addressing issues such as ageism in generative AI, usability for older users, and the integration of ethical frameworks in assistive technologies. A central theme is centering the voices of older adults in technology research, particularly through participatory and qualitative approaches in digital and health contexts.
