About the Lab
Professor Na-kyung Kyung's research lab specializes in behavioral health informatics and digital health interventions, focusing on how artificial intelligence, mobile technologies, and financial incentives influence health behavior and decision-making. The lab conducts large-scale field experiments and randomized trials to understand user acceptance of AI in preventive care, the role of contextual cues (e.g., weather) in mobile health messaging, and the design of effective incentive systems. Research also extends to the broader impacts of digital technologies on consumer behavior, including mobile ordering in retail and broadband access on public health outcomes. The lab integrates behavioral theory with real-world data to develop evidence-based design principles for health and retail technologies.
