Professor Nam Eun Kim's research lab focuses on translational biomedical research with a strong emphasis on clinical outcomes in critical care and transplant medicine. Key research directions include understanding and mitigating nurse turnover in healthcare settings, evaluating patient acceptance of online health information using technology acceptance models, and investigating molecular mechanisms underlying metabolic and renal complications in lung transplant patients. The lab also conducts molecular biology studies on host defense peptides and metabolic enzymes, particularly in the context of animal models and their implications for human disease.
