About the Lab
Professor Narae Yang's research lab specializes in neurosurgical interventions and cerebrovascular disease management, with a focus on improving outcomes following aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH). The lab investigates clinical vasospasm, lumbar drainage, fever management, and complications such as acute cholecystitis in critically ill neurosurgical patients. It also explores minimally invasive surgical approaches—particularly the far lateral suboccipital technique—for posterior circulation aneurysms and rare intracranial pathologies like tuberculomas and spinal subdural hematomas. Additionally, the lab contributes to environmental health policy by analyzing industrial pollution control standards, particularly for the pulp and paper industry, in the context of global climate regulations.

We report the case of a 44-year-old woman who presented with a headache and right sixth cranial nerve palsy. The lesion mimicked a tentorial meningioma in the brain and was investigated using computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging. Gross total resection was achieved using a subtemporal approach.
